The 89er 5K is hosted by the cadets in the ’89er Battalion, Guthrie High School JROTC. The Guthrie JROTC program is the first JROTC program in the State of Oklahoma, dating back to 1935. As a 5K, we encourage competitive runners, recreational runners as well as walkers; walk your dog, push a stroller or simply enjoy the fellowship of your friends and neighbors. This is a community fund raising event for the students and the proceeds will support educational and leadership training opportunities for the students in JROTC. A portion of the proceeds will support Veteran organizations and charities.
